Relationship Between Carbonate Grain Size and Non-Carbonate Content in Carbonate Sedimentary RocksGrain size and fabric of 40 samples of Triassic carbonate rocks were studied. The grain size of early diagenetic carbonate minerals is inversely proportional to the clay mineral content. Probably, envelopes of clay minerals prevented formation of larger carbonate crystals during diagenetic recrystallization.

Geomicrobiology and Geochemistry of the “Nari-Lime-Crust” (Israel)Two samples of Nari-lime-crust and underlying substrate (Turonian limestone) from Israel were investigated microbiologically and geochemically. After determination of quantitative values for certain groups of microorganisms, laboratory experiments on the isolated flora were caried out. We obtained the following results:
