Change in Negative Sequence Current-Based Islanding Event Detection,ed and its comparison with a set threshold provides the islanding event detection information. Various events like faults, capacitor switching, active power mismatch etc. are considered to check the effectiveness of the proposed technique using a 9-bus system in a MATLAB environment.

A Review on the Micro-Phasor Measurement Unit in Distribution Networks,ation obtained from μPMUs is used in diagnostic, monitoring, and control distribution applications. Mainly in this paper, we review the optimal placement of μPMUs, control distribution applications, diagnostic and monitoring functions, and also a list of μPMU applications.
