Modeling Methodology of Flywheel Energy Storage System for Microgrid Applicationsy for FESS suitable for the microgrid is discussed in this paper using MATLAB-Simulink. The performance and utility of the FESS in smoothing out transients owing to the switch over of power sources are analyzed.
