Cost-Based Filtering for Stochastic Inventory Controlend a known CP approach for this problem using a cost-based filtering method. Our algorithm can solve to optimality instances of realistic size much more efficiently than previous approaches, often with no search effort at all.

Bipolar Preference Problems: Framework, Properties and Solving Techniquesue of the compensation between positive and negative preferences, studying the properties of this operation. Finally, we extend the notion of arc consistency to bipolar problems, and we show how branch and bound (with or without constraint propagation) can be easily adapted to solve such problems.

These rules are based on the idea of extending traditional precedence graphs by direct precedence relations. It is only by using our cluster-based heuristics can large problems be solved efficiently. The poor performance of maintaining arc-consistency is somewhat surprising, but quite easy to explain.

Vielleicht hat die Zahlentheorie, genauso wie die Quantenmechanik, ihr eigenes Unbestimmtheitsprinzip, das es erforderlich macht, in manchen Gebieten die Exaktheit zugunsten einer wahrscheinlichkeitstheoretischen Formulierung über Bord zu werden.
