Would This Be Rational Suicide?,h the criteria are clearly stated and easily understood, the patient is not so easily comprehended. Applying these criteria to humans with their ambivalence, internal conflicts, and multiple changing motivations and moods may raise more questions than are answered.

Baby Boomers and Rational Suicide,ill not consider rational suicide to be an outlier act of questionable morality, but an option for having the kind of death suitable for their needs and wishes. This chapter will focus on why this is the case and provide a useful background for treating these patients.
