Linear Predictive Video Rate Estimation and Controleration. The a priori information is given by a set of scene change features. This scheme is based on a feed-forward control technique to handle the non-stationary nature of video. The scene change features are selected and applied to the adaptation of the quantisation scale.

Nonlinear Predictive Video Rate Estimation and ControlIn Chapter 4 the contribution of scene change features and nonlinear quantisation control functions was evaluated in respect of the proposed video rate control scheme.
