Anomalous Behavior of Pr-Based Borocarbides: Comparison with Cupratesfor “normal” .l221. An enhanced linear contribution to the specific heat is observed above T. with an linear coefficient of 250 m./mol K.. Possible reasons for the anomalous behavior of Prl221 are discussed.

Electronic Structure and Related Properties of Rare Earth Transition Metal Borocarbides -LDA Bandstrrconducting compounds, whereas for the non-superconducting LaNi.B.C no nesting was found. The influence of disorder on the electronic structure is investigated using the coherent potential approximation.
