Heisenberg-Langevin and Master Equations Approaches to the Statistical Properties of Radiation Inteld with an infinite reservoir boson system (the quantum theory of damping). Then we consider the interaction of the electromagnetic field with a system of two-level atoms. The methods presented in this chapter will be applied to description of radiation in random and nonlinear media in Chapters 8 and 10.

Quantum Theory of the Electromagnetic Field,where a field operator corresponds to the classical field and the quanta of the field correspond to the classical wave field. As is well known, this correspondence is realized by the second quantization of the field.

Introduction,nd Slansky (1965), O’Neil (1963), Beran and Parrent (1964), Pe?ina (1972,1985), Potechin and Tatarinov (1978), Marathay (1982), Goodman (1985) and Saleh and Teich (1991). At present, many papers are available in which these general methods are applied to various problems, mostly in instrumental optics.
