Photo-Assisted Electron-Hole Partition Noise in Quantum Point Contactstron system. Irradiation by radio-frequency photons has been used to provide a nontransport determination of the Fano factor characterizing the partitioning of the photo-created quasiparticles. The article discuss the fundamental physical mechanisms as well as recent experimental results.

Qubits as Spectrometers of Quantum Noiseeers long ago developed spectrum analyzers to measure the intensity of this noise. Roughly speaking, these spectrum analyzers consist of a resonant circuit to select a particular frequency of interest, followed by an amplifier and square law detector (e.g. a diode rectifier) which measures the mean square amplitude of the signal at that frequency.

Noisy Quantum Measurement of Solid-State Qubits: Bayesian Approach of the measurement process. The formalism provides testable experimental predictions and can be used for the analysis of a quantum feedback control of solid-state qubits. We also discuss generalization of the Bayesian formalism to the continuous measurement of entangled qubits.

Dephasing and Renormalization in Quantum Two-Level Systemste preparation, determine to which extent the environment leads to dephasing or to renormalization effects. We analyze an exactly solvable limit where the relation between both can be demonstrated explicitly. We also study the effects of dephasing and renormalization on response functions.
