Atomic Collisions with Sticky Nuclei,rmation about nuclear and atomic collisions. I use the word “might”, because, as you will see, the theoretical predictions are exciting and challenging, but the experiments are beset with severe backgrounds which make the detection of the desired effects very difficult.

Density Functional Approach to the Relativistic Many Body Problem,the collision of a heavy nucleus from a target atom stripped of all the electrons but one, can not be realised very easily. The strong field effects do occur against the background of many electron physics.
