Originally, the crucial methods for themodeling of complex systems (stochastic methods and nonlineardynamics) were developed in physics but they have very often provedtheir explanatory power in chemistry, biology, economics and thesocial sciences. ..Quantitative Sociodynamics. provides a unified and comprehensiveoverview of the different stochastic methods, their interrelations andproperties. In addition, it introduces the most important conceptsfrom nonlinear dynamics (synergetics, chaos theory). The applicabilityof these fascinating concepts to social phenomena is carefullydiscussed. By incorporating decision-theoretical approaches a veryfundamental dynamic model is obtained which seems to open newperspectives in the social sciences. It includes many establishedmodels as special cases, e.g. the logistic equation, the gravitymodel, some diffusion models, the evolutionary game theory and thesocial field theory, but it also implies numerous new results.Examples concerning opinion for | 出版日期 | Book 19951st edition | 關(guān)鍵詞 | Simulation; chaos theory; game theory; master equation; modeling; nonlinear dynamics | 版次 | 1 | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-94-015-8516-3 | isbn_ebook | 978-94-015-8516-3 | copyright | Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 1995 |
