Network Availability Based Service Differentiationce differentiation. We simulate our QoS scheme on a real IP backbone topology and derive Service Level Agreements for the new degraded service. We find that by adding a degraded class of traffic in the network, we can at least double the link utilization with no impact on the current backbone traffic.

Using Latency Quantiles to Engineer QoS Guarantees for Web Servicesns during periods feasible for simulations. Conducting a simulation study with ns-2, we find a similar convergence for network latency percentiles. We explain this finding with probability theory and propose a method to reliably test for this convergence.
