A Field Investigation on Ice Melting Capacities of Road Salt in Extreme Cold Weather Conditions in Ottawa, Canada,extreme cold temperature and the large amount of snow that needed to be melted. These test results are limited to sidewalks and parking lots without traffic effects, as there were no vehicles present on the lot, while these tests were performed.

A Data-Driven Approach to Predict Building Energy Performance for Identifying Optimal Energy Retrofit Scenarios,y, Pareto optimization was used to identify optimal retrofit scenarios for the residential building. The results indicated that the proposed approach could be an alternative to complex building energy simulation tools to predict building energy performance and aid energy retrofit decision-making.
