Adaptation to a changing environment by means of the feedback thermodynamical genetic algorithm,e TDGA. The temperature is controlled by a feedback technique so as to regulate the level of the diversity of the population measured by entropy. The adaptation ability of the proposed method is confirmed by computer simulation taking time-varying knapsack problems as examples.

Averaging efficiently in the presence of noise,ction strengths and thus represents a noisy fitness value. To reduce noise one can average over several evaluations per individual which is costly. The aim of this work is to introduce a method to reduce the number of evaluations per individual.
