Nuclear Aspects of Stellar and Explosive Nucleosynthesis of a detailed nucleosynthesis study in type II supernovae. Abundances resulting from calculations in the same explosion model with two different sets of reaction rates are compared. Key reactions and required nuclear information are identified.

LiBeB Nucleosynthesis and Clues to the Chemical Evolution of the Universe formed during stellar evolution, their presence in old halo stars serves as a signal for nucleosynthesis. Measurements of cross sections for LiBeB production can now be combined with highly sensitive new measurements of the elemental abundances of these elements to gain new insights into the chemical evolution of the universe.

The Discovery of Superheavy Elements 107–112 and of the Deformed Shell at N = 162e the first superheavy elements. Not the instability of the SHE’s, but their small production cross sections were found to be the limiting factor to proceed toward still higher elements. A one-step reaction mechanism is discussed for the 1n-reaction channel responsible for the cold fusion reactions observed.

Measuring the Astrophysics Rate of the 21Na(p,γ)22Mg Reactiont . is radioactive . . = .. This report describes an experimental program aimed at measuring this rate using inverse kinematics at the new radioactive beams facility, ISAC. A new recoil mass separator, DRAGON, is being constructed to perform this and similar reaction rate studies; the status of this new facility is presented.

Production and β-Decay Half-Lives of Very N-Rich Nuclei mass-excess (m.e.) measurements. The first or the second of these quantities has already been measured for 42 new n-rich isotopes of elements between Cu and Ti using different production techniques at the MP-tandem (IPN-Orsay), the online mass-separator (GSI-Darmstadt), the nuclear reactor (ILL-Grenoble), and the FRS (GSI).
