Mixed-Integer Linear Optimization,cal significance of MILPPs. We also demonstrate the use of a special type of integer variable known as a binary variable, to model a number of types of nonlinearities and discontinuities while maintaining a linear model structure. Two solution techniques for MILPPs are also introduced.

Iterative Solution Algorithms for Nonlinear Optimization,rative algorithms that are implemented on a computer. In this chapter we begin by first introducing a generic iterative algorithm for solving an unconstrained NLPP. We also introduce two broad approaches to solving constrained NLPPs.
