Zero Order Design: Generalized Inverses, Adjustment, the Datum Problem and S-Transformations,f experimental data. The data may be contaminated by (systematic or random) errors, insufficient to determine the unknowns, redundant, or all of the above and consequently, questions as existence, uniqueness, stability, approximation and the physical description of the set of solutions are all of interest.

First Order Design: Optimization of the Configuration of a Network by Introducing Small Position Chpecially the dependency of the covariance matrix of the estimated coordinates on the choice of the datum will be reviewed first. Estimable coordinates for the free nets will be obtained by means of projected parameters and it will be shown that these projections also give the transformations between different datums.

Optimization Problems in Geodetic Networks with Signals,hysical sciences, geodesy being one of them, the relative simplicity of the considered part of the physical world allows the construction of models, i.e., creations of the human mind which with the help of the language of mathematics are more or less valid images of the relevant phaenomena in the real world.

The Analysis of Time Series with Applications to Geodetic Control Problems, to tackle the problem of designing an “alarm” which from a series of past control geodetic data is capable of giving a “red signal” when the last control observation falls out a certain “normal behaviour”.

Fourier Analysis of Geodetic Networks,Life is difficult enough — why not make it easy! We have met this simple idea the first time in a high-school maths course, when we were forced to learn handle logarithms (although hardly anybody got the point): simplify a problem by appropriate transformation.
