Problems of the first class determine a general model of economic growth, while problems from the second class are related to the Robinson–Solow–Srinivasan model.

For these optimal control problems the turnpike is a singleton. We show the stability of the turnpike phenomenon under small perturbations of the objective functions and the constraint maps.
