Optimal BESS Control in Microgrids,absorbing the fluctuation of local energy generation and consumption, and thereby mitigating the detrimental impact of renewable energy sources on the main grid. In this chapter, we consider the optimal control of a microgrid, e.g., a factory or a commercial building, which is equipped with a finite-capacity BESS and renewable energy generators.
