,Structure, Spectroscopy and Photochemistry of the [M(η5-C5H5)(CO)2]2 Complexes (M=Fe, Ru), forms, calculated using TDDFT method, reproduce well spectral properties of both complexes. Moreover, they are useful in interpreting the medium effect and photochemical behaviour. The photoreactivity is briefly reviewed pointing at analogies and differences between the Fe and Ru complexes.

Rare Earth Ions: Their Spectroscopy of Cryptates and Related Complexes in Glasses, emitting state .D. of europium and .D. of terbium increased in the complexed ion as a result of decrease of multiphonon relaxation by the shielding complex molecules. The method allows intensification of RE emission that cannot be achieved in the oxides of the ions. The findings allow preparation of highly fluorescent new materials.
