Optical Coherence Tomography: Manufacturers and Current Systemsma or various retinal diseases. Four manufacturers, Carl Zeiss Meditec, Heidelberg Engineering, Topcon Medical Systems, and Optovue have the largest user base and most of the OCT publications in the literature are based on these platforms. This chapter describes the devices currently available from these manufacturers.

Spectralis OCT’s Progression Analysisectralis OCT (Heidelberg Engineering Inc., Heidelberg, Germany) provides event-based and trend-based analyses for detection of glaucoma progression. In addition to the retinal nerve fiber layer, the optic nerve head and posterior pole outcomes can be utilized for monitoring of the disease with Spectralis OCT.
