Companion Signal to Noise Calculation,ronagraphic suppression rather than assuming an ideal instrument. Emphasis is placed on the various instrument tolerances and specifications that must be defined to ensure that instrument leakage is less than or comparable to the fundamental extended source leakage of a coronagraph.

The Development of MANIC,Chapter 1 emphasized the implicit benefits of a monolithic interferometer, those being stability, ease of integration, and simplification of the in-field alignment process. Chapter 5 compared . to the . nuller giving only a basic description of how they function.
