The Biosynthesis of Chloroplast Proteins, it took more than half a Century to develop the experimental tools to study the processes underlying the phenomenon. These studies, which could be called “chloroplast molecular genetics”, involve the investigation of the genes and gene products responsible for the development and functioning of chloroplasts within plant cells.
