The Receding HorizonIn the preceding chapters we focused on nuclear energy technologies characterized by heavy-element fission, D-T fusion, spallation processes, and central station power plants. The (D-T) Fusion-Fission Symbiontfission reactors by isotope and power exchange linkages. Such a system is called a D-T fusion-fission symbiont. Our objective here is to describe and characterize some of the main features of isotope and power flows for such a fusion-fission nuclear energy system.
