Methods and Instrumentation,cceed if the resonant radiation is transmitted efficiently from the source to the detector. Due to the small energetic bandwidth of the nuclear resonance, this is a very challenging task that has led to the development of unique instrumentation like monochromators with sub-meV energy resolution and efficient detectors with sub-ns time resolution.
