Leukotriene A4 hydrolase: A key enzyme in chemotactic leukotriene formation, by LTC. synthase, to produce 5(.)-hydroxy-6(.)-.-glutathionyl-7,9-.-11,14-.-. acid (LTC.). This review will focus on the biochemistry and molecular biology of LTA. hydrolase, the enzyme catalyzing the final step in the biosynthesis of the potent chemotaxin LTB., an important mediator of inflammation.

Leukotrienes and aspirin-intolerant asthma,his is a distinct clinical syndrome, called aspirin-induced asthma, or aspirin-intolerant asthma (AIA). It affects about 10% of adult patients with asthma, more often women than men, but is rare in asthmatic children [1–3].
