描述Nonlinear science is by now a well established field of research at the interface of many traditional disciplines and draws on the theoretical concepts developed in physics and mathematics. Coupled Structures of Long Josephson Junctions applications. In fact, microwave and far infrared fluxon oscillators [.] greatly enhance their performances if such a motion is established. Here we will consider three different coupled structures of long Josephson junctions where coherent fluxon motion is experimentally demonstrated.

Spatial Optical Solitonsped beams and their spiralling in photorefractive crystals, multi-hump solitons and solitonic gluons, discrete solitons in wave guide arrays, etc. A brief summary of the earlier and more recent experimental observations of spatial solitons, transverse instabilities, and soliton interactions is included as well.

Self-Focusing and Collapse of Light Beams in Nonlinear Dispersive Mediases employed for modelling wave collapses. Emphasis is then laid on the influence of anisotropic (negative)disp ersion and on the deviations from the spatio-temporal envelope approximations, which are shown to strongly alter the blow-up dynamics.

2-D Breathers and Applicationsch led to the discovery of this new family of lattice excitations: mobile localized breathers of longitudinal type..We explore several properties of these moving breathers, both by numerical methods and by experimenting with analogue models. The results suggest a much broader application than just the mica problem.

Nonlinear Coherent Phenomena in Continuous Medialtonian formalism. These approaches are demonstrated mainly on the basic nonlinear models, i.e. on the nonlinear Schr?dinger equation and the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation and their generalizations.
