Pressure Estimation of a Wet Clutch,t complex nonlinear characteristics of engine systems, appear in their original form. Model uncertainties including steady state error and unmodelled dynamics are considered as additive disturbances and the observers are designed in order that the error dynamics is robust stable.

Torque Estimation of the Vehicle Drive Shaft,the observer is designed such that the error dynamics is input-to-state stable for all gear positions. The lowest possible gain of the designed observer is obtained by solving an LMI optimization problem. The estimation of the axle drive shaft torque will form the basis for later chapters.
