Flow Noise,Many noise sources that represent a major environmental noise nuisance, or a hazard to health in industry, are of aerodynamic origin. That is, they are associated with relatively high speed flows. One can classify such sources by the manner in which they radiate noise to the acoustic far field. (see A1.2)
