Variational Transition State Theory in Condensed Phases,be used to treat nonlinear solute-solvent interactions. Other recent advances include the development of new formalisms for improved optimization of the transition state dividing surface, the incorporation of intramolecular solute modes, and the development of centroid-based quantum transition state theory analogs.

Stretched Times and Divergent Time Scales,e one arrives at the stretched exponential law as a probability limit distribution. This law is described by an exponent and a time scale. The temperature dependence of these quantities is calculated. The derived time scale temperature dependence is similar to the empirical Vogel-Fulcher law.

Invariant Densities and Escape Rates for Maps with Weak Gaussian Noise,etween these points caused by weak multiplicative Gaussian white noise is determined by means of a discrete time version of Kramers’ flux over population method. The resulting rate expression is asymtotically exact for small noise and agrees very well with numerical results.
