Entropy-Layer Instabilities in Plane Supersonic Flow, wall-normal distribution of the mass-flow eigenfunction of the most amplified entropy-layer instability is found in hot-wire data. The streamwise wave number and the wall-normal phase distribution of the numerically obtained density eigenfunctions agree with a Schlieren picture.

Pressure Sensitive Paint Application in Low-Speed Flows,Xenon — flash lamp and a nitrogen-laser were used for paint excitation and the resulting fluorescence fields in two spectral band length were acquired by 16 bit CCD slow scan camera with appropriate filters. Results shows that the optical pressure measurement system with binary paint can achieve pressure resolution better than 1 mbar.

Effect of mean Flow Accuracy on PSE Results,ow data with sufficient precision are needed..We consider here the effect of systematic streamwise changes of the outer boundary condition on the PSE results for a well defined model flow (2D wedge flow). It is shown that boundary layer and stability computations react very sensitive to small changes in the outer boundary condition.
