New Perspectives and the Future of Desistance: An Afterwordrcumstances, and we hope that this book has successfully mapped out some of the circumstances we need to consider in future research. This afterword highlights some of the new perspectives brought out by the chapters in this book, gives a few directions for future research, and discusses implications for policy and practice.
