Short Time Behavior and Zeno Effect in Relativistic Quantum Field Theory,ativistic and non-relativistic (that is, non-relativistic quantum mechanics) cases are found; in particular the so-called quantum Zeno effect is not present in relativistic quantum field theory, at least in the models studied herein.

A Model with Varying Fluctuations in the Measurement Context,In the “hidden measurement formalism,” we try to explain the emergence of the quantum probabilities from the presence of fluctuations in the measurement context. We use a model that was constructed by Aerts et al. as a metaphorical model to extend these ideas.

Chaos and Decoherence in a Quantum System with a Regular Classical Counterpart,We show that chaotic like behavior in a quantum system facilitates decoherence. It appears that the time scale on which decoherence takes place depends on the degree of complexity of the underlying quantum system, i.e., more complex systems decohere relatively faster than less complex ones.

Superdiffusive Behavior in Weakly Chaotic Systems: A New Avenue to Quantum Macroscopic ManifestatioWe study the anomalous diffusion resulting from the standard map. The quantum mechanical breakdown of this property occurs in a time depending logarithmically on the inverse of the Planck constant and implies a coherence among so small regions of phase-space as to be robust against environment fluctuations.
