Evolutionary Aspects of Transmitter Heterogeneity,volution..This hypothesis is explored in the article as well as the alternative view suggesting that neurones are of common phylohistogenetic origin and that they differentiated into various chemical types in the course of evolution due to functional specialization. The latter explanation is regarded as unsatisfactory.

Role of Short-Range Transmitters in Hypothalamic Activities,rease of the catecholamine concentration in the median eminence and the estradiol administration did not induce increase in ovariectomized and preoptic lesioned rats. On the Problem of the Origin of Nerve Terminals in the Sympathetic Ganglia,suggests the existence of well-defined intraganglionic axon terminals showing acetylcholinesterase activity, which could originate as recurrent collaterals from cholinergic ganglion cells or as axonal processes of acetylcholinesterase-positive interneurones.
