Noradrenaline,stem (CNS). Noradrenaline is released from the adrenal medulla. The term ‘catecholamine’ refers to the chemical classification in which substances with two adjacent hydroxyl (OH) groups on a benzene ring are said to have a ‘catechol’ nucleus.

Dopamine,Dopamine is a catecholamine neurotransmitter in the central nervous system (CNS) and at some ganglia in the autonomic nervous system; most of our knowledge of the functional role of dopamine relates to the CNS. In both the peripheral and central nervous system, dopamine is a precursor of noradrenaline and adrenaline.
