An appraisal of landslides in southern Nigeriaan interplay of these. Landslide damage in the region is assessed to be significantly high although there is no data from which to estimate the costs. Losses from landslides could be reduced by the cooperative effort of geologists, engineers and planners, an effort that must be supported by governmental bodies.
