,Critical Evaluation of Dillwyn’s Recipes and Formulations,ver tried to emulate Billingsley and Walker’s Nantgarw formulation despite several historical assertions to the contrary. It is also now possible from these workbooks to match the starting compositions with analytical data from the fired porcelain bodies and shards.

This is borne out by the analytical evidence that has been obtained thus far.

Perspective of Analytical Science in Ceramics Research,urrent analytical database to include more factories and also to probe different periods of their manufacture to investigate novel body and perhaps glaze compositions.
