Experimental Strategies Toward the Use of the Porin MspA as a Nanotemplate and for Biosensors a hydrophobic “docking zone,” which enables it to reconstitute not only in lipid membranes, but also in numerous artificial (mono)membranes and hydrophobic, water-soluble polymer layers.
