Colloidal Nanophotonics: State-of-the-Art and Prospective, signal processing elements (e.g. electrooptical modulators, optical switches) and various sensors can be developed in . technological processes to compete with existing . technological approaches. Interfacing of electronic devices with biosystems is the additional essential advantageous outcome of the colloidal bottom-up approach.

Nanoplasmonic and Microfluidic Devices for Biological Sensingnsing of DNA was performed at few molecules level with nanometer spatial resolutions. Finally, we show an example of microfluidic device integrating plasmonic nanodevices to sort and drive biological samples, like living cells, towards the optical probe in order to obtain optimal conditions of analysis.
