描述During the last two decades, chemical and cellular studies havecontributed enormously to our understanding of metal-inducedcarcinogenesis, and many hypotheses on the role of metals inpathophysiological processes have been investigated. In addition, newtechniques are available to shed light on the mechanism ofcarcinogenesis in molecular terms. This conference on MolecularMechanisms of Metal Toxicity and Carcinogenesis in September 2000focused on the latest research in molecular mechanisms ofmetal-induced toxicity and carcinogenesis. The conference promoted amultidisciplinary investigative approach and included presentationsfrom international experts on state-of-the-art information in thisfield.

Contraction Theory for Systems Biologybili-sierungsma?nahmen leider nicht der Fall. Welche Methoden hierbei in Anwendung kommen k?nnen, wird im klinischen Teil (Behandlung, S. 157) noch besprochen werden. Hier soll nur kurz auf die theoretischen Grundlagen eingegangen werden.
