Influence of Gaming Activities on Cognitive Performances,-11 neuro-psychological test battery and an experimental questionnaire to detect the using habits of boards and technological games were used. Our findings highlighted that both the traditional and technological stimulation resulted effective in improving the cognitive performances of children.

Towards Children-Oriented Visual Representations for Temporal Relations, FP7 European project TERENCE faced this issue creating the first adaptive learning system for text comprehension for primary school children. The paper, after a review on the state-of-art of visual representation of temporal relations, discusses the TERENCE choices for achieving a children-oriented approach.

Using ICT to Motivate Students in a Heterogeneous Programming Group,use of ICT in a programming course of an engineering degree. In this course, our students form part of a heterogeneous group with different programming skills. We have checked that the use ICTs in our programming course, increases students’ motivation and the examination pass rates.
