Interaction between Ethanol Oxydation and Drug Metabolismo convert a wide variety of compounds into more polar (i.e., hydroxylated or dealkylated) derivatives. In our studies the increased oxygen uptake of perfused liver following the addition of a suitable substrate, e.g., aminopyrine, was used to estimate the rate of this microsomal process (1).
