描述.This book envisages a multi-proxy approach using stable isotopes, geochemical proxies, magnetic susceptibility and associated biotic events for paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental interpretations of the Mesozoic sedimentary record of India. Mesozoic rocks of India record abnormal sea level rise, greenhouse climate, intensified volcanism, hypoxia in seawater, extensive black shale deposition, and hydrocarbon occurrence. The Mesozoic has also witnessed mass extinction events, evolution of dinosaurs, and breakdown of the supercontinent Pangea and the formation of Gondwana. Although the Mesozoic geology of India has witnessed significant progress in the last century, literature survey reveals a huge gap in knowledge regarding sequence stratigraphy, chemostratigraphy and key geological events. A synthesis of sedimentological, paleontological and chemical data is included to presenting a comprehensive understanding of the Indian Mesozoic record to students, researchers and professionals..

Cosmopolitan Status for , (Waagen) (Ammonoidea) from Kutch, Western India,sing multivariate data available from the present collection as well as the earlier topotypes. A comparison has been made with the European types to understand the palaeobiogeography of the present species . (Waggen).

Facies and Microfacies Analysis of Kallankurichchi Formation, Ariyalur Group with an Inkling of Seqtrographic study shows that this part is replete with quartz flux strongly suggests progressive shift of paleogeography?from basinward to shoreward part. The faunal distribution varies throughout the formation incorporates echinodermata, varieties of foraminifers,?brachiopods, cephalopods and bivalves (. and .).

Magnetic Polarity Stratigraphy Investigations of Middle-Upper Jurassic Sediments of Jara Dome, Kutc correlated with the Geological Time Scale (GTS). The magnetostratigraphic column matches fairly with the GTS from Chron M24 to M19 (145–155?Ma). The magnetostratigraphic column exhibits the dominance of normal polarity except one single reversed polarity in the Jara dome of Kutch Basin.
