Curcuma longa,ment, broad and constricted at the apex is found in the floret. The anther is versatile and usually spurred at the base. The ovaries consist of threelocules, each containing 2 ovules. The capsules are ellipsoid. Seeds are rare.

Aloe vera,ivided into 6 lobes, about 2.5 cm long, with scattered bracts. Each flower has 6 protruding stamens and three-celled ovary with long style. Forms of the species vary in sizes of leaves and colors of flowers.

Cyperus rotundus, the longest usually not more than about 7.5-cm spikes, consisting of about 2–10 spikelets. Each spikelet is narrow and flattened; glumes rather narrow, blunt, closely overlapping with 3 stamens, 3-branched.
