Toward a General Theory of Inductive Inference,ions involve the use of a “communication channel” linking system with observer. The quantum or classical nature of the theory is apparent in terms of channel distortion. The MEP provides the inference for the appropriate channel probability. The scheme allows the inference of stochastic processes and accommodates particle physics.

Detection for Active Sonars by Means of Autoregressive Noise Modeling,lter, and therefore the detector itself is optimal. Simulation results indicate that the data record length necessary for the asymptotic results to apply can be quite small. Thus, the proposed detector is well suited for practical applications.

Applied Seismology,of Jack Cohen and Norman Bleistein on general inverse methods has caused a revolution in the direction of research on longstanding unsolved geophysical problems. This paper does not deal with such general methods but instead gives a survey of some production-type data processing methods in everyday use in geophysical exploration.
