General Discussion,The heart is the engine that powers life and the coronary circulation is the lifeline to transport blood to the myocardium. This blood contains oxygen and substrate to maintain the metabolic processes which keep the heart beating.

Furthermore, in animal or man recirculation of contrast agent is expected. Because in clinical practice recirculation does not occur before data acquisition has been completed, this point will not be discussed extensively.

The Concept of Maximal Flow Ratio for Immediate Evaluation of PTCA Result,acquisition. To avoid these problems, different adjusted versions of the original theory have been proposed with somewhat disappointing results [4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11]. In fact, most problems are related to the inability to determine resting flow accurately, which implies unreliable assessment of coronary flow reserve [9, 12, 13, 14].
