What Is Mathematics for?,However, the way it is commonly taught fails to achieve that. The way it is commonly taught prepares the students to pass various exams. Moreover, mathematics serves as a filter for further studies. Thus students who are weak in mathematics are left behind even if they are brilliant in other domains like literature, history, and art.
