An Overview of the Studiesocus on (1) mass-produced paintings, (2) comparisons between mass-produced and matched museum paintings, and (3) the ability to recognize the two kinds of paintings. The studies also examined the role of age, gender, art background, and setting in responding to both kinds of paintings. A table outlines the studies.
