Application of Magnetic Shape Memory Alloys,magnetic refrigeration prototype operating based on the magnetocaloric effect has been demonstrated, intensive working verification is still needed before it is widely accepted as an alternative to the conventional gas compressing technique.

Preparation and Properties of Bulk Magnetic Shape Memory Alloys,e alloys with carefully created dual pores with a size similar to grains. This chapter introduces the preparation, plastic deformation and properties of polycrystalline and single crystal ferromagnetic shape memory alloys. Special emphasis is placed on the high temperature superplastic deformation behavior and MFIS and magnetocaloric properties.

This chapter introduces the preparation technology of ferromagnetic shape memory foams. The magnetic-field induced strain in Ni-Mn-Ga foams and magnetocaloric effects in Ni-Mn-In-Co alloy are discussed.
