Electron Holography of Magnetic Nanostructures,aching the nanometer scale. The theoretical background and usual experimental setup for electron holography are first briefly described. Applications of the technique to magnetic materials and nanostructures are then discussed in more detail. Future prospects are summarized.

Spin-SEM of Storage Media,n-SEM is advantageous to the study of these recording media, since it can detect the three components of the magnetization vector with a spatial resolution of several nanometers. In this chapter, I review how the spin-SEM contributes to increasing the recording density of various recording media.

Time Domain Optical Imaging of Ferromagnetodynamics, simultaneously all three components of the magnetization vector. This technique allows direct insight into the spatiotemporal evolution of dynamic processes, including ferromagnetic resonance and magnetization reversal in small magnetic elements.
